Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psycho-therapeutic approach that  identifies, challenges and overcomes dysfunctional thoughts, behaviors and emotions. This treatment  helps patients understand the thoughts and feelings that influence their behaviors.

CBT is one of the available methods for treating mental health problems including phobias, addictions, depression and anxiety.  Cognitive Processing Therapy is a form of CBT that is used to treat PTSD through a narrative (optional) approach that the therapist guides the client through for identifying and overcome thoughts, behaviors and feelings that do not work in their day to day lives.
